 According to the Public Religion Research Institute, 68% of Americans think that Same-Sex Marriage is morally acceptable which is "up from 58% in 2016, and 48% in 2008"

If this upward trend continues, the number of Americans who think that Same-Sex Marriage is morally acceptable will be the VAST MAJORITY of the entire population by 2030.

 

What do you think the difference is?? Personally, I think it's a generational thing, with the old generations dying off and the youngest generations becoming adults.

From what I've seen living in a rural southern area (that also has a higher population of elderly folks), I'd say it's because of increased representation in media and more access to the internet/social media. We're seeing a lot more same sex couples finally being able to publicly share their stories and experiences, through tv and music, etc. & it's way easier to talk to all kinds of people from all walks of life online. A lot of people who would never be exposed to other lifestyles & POVs are able to learn about them anyway, chat about it, join groups, etc. They're not trapped in a little bubble of ignorance anymore.

Well, the GOP would disagree with you. They are actively passing laws in states all over to limit rights and abilities for LGBT to just simply live. It's fucked. With the current SCOTUS make up, I wouldn't be surprised if Obergefell V. Baker was overturned, and legal gay marriage dissolved Federally, and kicked back to the states.

This culture war B.S is a smokescreen while they lift the life savings out of our pockets.
